Dastihcz 3.45.6

Post by madpatrick »

Hi All

I've just pushed new release to the Dachticz Beta repo (waiting for approval of the admin)
Before you update, do make a backup or install it in a seperate directory.
If you switch from custom intp the new wizard function this will break your current config.

After a git pull, don't forget to run the script : /tools/install-dashticz-write-access.sh to ensure the right file/directory properties

-------------------------
Main user-facing changes since Dashticz 3.20

Since version 3.20, a large part of the Dashticz configuration workflow has been moved from manual CONFIG.js editing to graphical editors. The main user-visible changes are:

Custom / Wizard mode – dashboards can now be managed through the Wizard while the traditional Custom configuration remains available. An empty dashboard can also be initialized directly in Wizard mode.
Screen Editor – a central add menu was introduced for adding Devices, Widgets, Custom Devices, Multi Devices, Separators and Slide buttons. Separators can be inserted directly as full-width title blocks.
Layout Editor – blocks can be positioned and resized visually in the grid. Devices and widgets also have a configuration button directly on the block while editing the layout. The editor supports working with multiple screens during the same editing session.
Device Config – device appearance and behaviour can be configured from a popup instead of manually editing the block definition. Display options now include controls such as Icon, Data, Updated, Title and Background, together with Dial, Bar and Slider options where supported. Custom Field/Setting values are still available for advanced configuration.
Widget Config – many widgets can now be configured graphically. Additional configurable widgets include Radio/Streamplayer, Domoticz Log, OpenWeatherMap widget, Sunrise/Sunset and Timegraph.
Calendar improvements – Calendar Widget Config supports multiple named ICS calendars, each with its own URL and colour.
Screen and theme customization – Settings now contains a dynamic theme selector, and individual screen buttons including Standby can use their own Font Awesome or image icons.
Improved topbar and settings workflow – the screen selector, Custom/Wizard switch and configuration controls have been reorganized. Update functionality was moved to the Info section and available-update notifications are shown directly on the dashboard.
Improved localization – Settings, Device Editor, Widget Editor, Layout Editor, screen controls and widget messages now use the language files consistently, with English as fallback.

Overall, the biggest change since 3.20 is that Dashticz can now be configured much more visually: screens, layout, devices and widgets can be created and edited from the dashboard itself, while manual configuration remains available for advanced users.

Looks good, nice to see this move towards graphical editors for this kind of use.
