i just upgraded from 18034 to 18064

i am getting this error in the log.

i am using the default theme but also mapped the nightglass theme

2026-07-02 16:37:31.359 Error: Preferences: sValue of Key ThemeSettings has an extreme size. Please report on the forum

does anybody know if this is serious

i stopped the container and restarted it again.
no error since

You do not have this issue with the default theme. So please report this on the nightglass github issue page

so is this a nightglass issue?

If you do not use the nightglass theme you can remove the user variables related to the theme. It should solve the issue.

Go to menu Setup -> More Options > User variables, select the varable ngThemeSettings and delete it.

that field is empty, no varables at all

i am using chrome now and apparently the entry is created now.

this string holds the settings for nightglass theme and is really big.
if i delete it i weill probably loose my nightglass user settings

what is the max value for a user variable string?

i deleted the user variable ngTheme_settings but i still get this error when restarting the container

it stated ThemeSettings and not ngTheme_settings so it is complaining about another variable

I checked the database and under Preferences there is indeed a Nightglass string which is very large.

now the strange thing is
when i set the theme to default and check the database i would expect that under ThemeSettings all the nightglass settings are gone but they remain.
