thermostat6 device does not work with hidden device

Hello,
i have been using a dzvents script for my intergas gateway for years without problems.
The intergas gateway created 2 temp devices, one for the temperature and one for the setpoint.
i use these temp devices for controlling a thermostat dummy device.
domoticz now supports thermostat6 devices which can hold both setpoint en temp so i decided to create a new dummy thermostat and use that one.
everything is working correctly, since i do not need to see the old temp devices(setpoint and temp) anymore i decided to hide them by renaming them to $Thermostaat Setpoint and $Thermostaat Temperatuur)
the weird thing is that somehow the script is not working correctly anymore

could it be that hidden devices do not trigger scripts or can not be read out in. a script
