Hey everyone,

I've been tinkering away and built a new Python plugin for Domoticz that I'd love to share with you all. If you, like me, are using a KPN Experia Box V10, this might be right up your alley!

I wanted a simple way to track who's home based on their connected devices, and things got a little out of hand. The result is this plugin, which not only handles presence detection but also throws in a few other goodies.

🚀 What can it do?

Presence Detection: Keeps an eye on all connected wireless (and optionally wired) devices.

Router Control: Adds buttons in Domoticz to reboot your router, and toggle your main and guest Wi-Fi networks.

Connection Monitoring: Monitors your internet connection status and external IP address.

Data Tracking: Keeps track of your total data usage (upload and download).

It's all about making our smart homes a little smarter, right?

🛠️ Get the plugin

You can find the plugin and the installation instructions over at the GitHub repository:
https://github.com/adrighem/domoticz-kpn-experia-v10

It's a straightforward install, but if you run into any issues, feel free to post them here or on GitHub.

I hope some of you find it useful. Happy automating! ✨

Hi @domovincent,

Long, long time ago, I created a solution to read the call history (incoming and outgoing) from an Experiabox V8 into a text sensor. I wonder, if that is still posible with a V10? If so, it might be an idea to add that to your plugin. In the V12 it is not possible.

See: viewtopic.php?p=226373&hilit=Experia#p226373.

Regards

Hi @FireWizard,

It looks like this is possible with the V10, but I don't have a landline so can't see what the data is that gets returned. Can you provide that for me?
Open the router web admin interface
Then click on the telephone category in the left hand menu
Then open the "dev Tools" panel in your browser (F12?) and set it to the network tab.
Click on the Call history tab.
In the dev tools panel, look for the url ws/NeMo/Intf/lan:getMIBs (there are multiple), and find the one that has the request payload that contains "getCallList".

Code: Select all

{"service":"VoiceService.VoiceApplication","method":"getCallList","parameters":{}}
Then get the response payload.
You can open a github issue with the information, or paste it here or in a DM. Remember to replace the phone numbers with something more random for privacy before you paste, but don't mess up the response structure. :-).

Hi @domovincent,

I do not use a V10, so I cannot help you.
In the past I got a V8, which has been replaced by a V12. The old UI was extremely slow and I could not get access.
It has been updated and I will look, if I can get access now. (KPN V12 is manufactured by Sagemcom).

Aha, well, maybe supporting the V10 is a bit outdated anyway...I got mine around 10 years ago. Not sure how many are still in use.
