🌙 Nightglass Theme (WIP)

This is very much a work in progress theme.
I’m experimenting with styling approaches, icon mapping, and improving the overall UX without breaking existing functionality.

Great. I did some more fixes and visual adjustments today :D

Added:
Add temperature-, weather-, and sensor-driven accent coloring to device cards based on their readings.
Add sparkline micro-charts as subtle card background visualizations for sensor history.
Add a keyboard-driven search overlay and numeric shortcuts to quickly navigate and locate device cards.
Add 3D tilt interactions on cards and visual flashes when device state changes.

Enhancements/Fixes:
Mark stale devices based on last-update timestamps with a subtle pulsing indicator dot.
Enhance device icons with context-appropriate animations while active (spin, flicker, pulse).

Great! Really appreciate it.

Shall the extra line for type indication, e.g.

"Type: Color Switch, RGBWW, Dimmer"

remain this way? If not, I would prefer to have it back beside the icon and the status (e.g. "66%") back beside the name. So the hight of the tile would be smaller again.

Please advice if such a feedback might be needless in this early stage.

Yes thats fine/good.
I do need to weight in my own opinions ofcourse as well, as theme/style is mostly a matter of taste i guess ;)

But thanks!

I like it. Some feedback:
- I see some question marks before my temperature readings. Also minus sign where it should be no sign (or +)
- The temperature graph in the widget is nice but should be highlighted more for better visibility
- That graph in the background of the widget should also be shown when you use the widget in the new dashboard functionality. It currently does not.

That icon tries to show a trend, see
https://github.com/user-attachments/ass ... 9432486054
so it shows going up, or the flat line means stable, or going down (red icon).
Question mark, then it can determine.. but maybe this was not clear enough or does not work good enough ;)

I've just improved this a bit on the current/latest version, please update

Maybe on focus with mouse make the graph a bit more visible?
Because i was playing with this and it became quite overwelming/busy as well. WDYT

With what widget?
Because it was working on the favorites new dashboard widget

Icon to change dark mode and light mode is overlapping with general settings gear symbol (see screenshots from cellphone with android chrome).

I got the same problem as @imautohuttraeger , but then with my iPad
And the custom menu is behind the rest if selected, so can't be really used.

Thanks, all working correctly now!
The hoover mouse over the widget to see the backround graphs better is not it for me.
The complete hoover function could be deleted for me..... Especially when used on a tablet.

BTW: I do like the red dot in the top right corner of a device if there is a time out state.

Hello. I just tried out this new theme, and I have to say I really like it. It’s a superb piece of work. Since the Aurora theme no longer works on the latest versions of Domoticz, the Nightglass Theme seems like a very strong contender to replace it. I hope Nightglass has as long a lifespan as Aurora... or even longer ;) ! Thank you very much. I’ll be sure to provide feedback if needed.

Hi,
Just found a small bug in the custom.js
// Base path: strips the hash and trailing filename, keeps the directory
// e.g. "http://server:8080/" β†’ ""
// "http://server/domoticz/" β†’ "domoticz/"

But in fact, I think it must be
// "http://server/domoticz/" β†’ "/domoticz/"

On my server with 2 URL access ( http:// domoticz.local:8080 and http:// myserver.mydomain/domoticz ) the widget highcharts backgrounds works well with the domoticz.local URL, but does not work with the myserver.mydomain/domoticz URL if the BASE function returns "domoticz/" but works well if it returns "/domoticz/"

So I think that in the BASE function

Code: Select all

var BASE = (function () {
        // var p = window.location.pathname.replace(/\/[^/]*$/, '/').replace(/^\//, '');
        var p = window.location.pathname.replace(/\/[^/]*$/, '/')
should be enough ?

Thanks
