Welcome to Domoticz menu freezes keyboard

Post by 2733 »

Greetings,

I am new to Domoticz and want to have a look at this product just for exploring. Given a fresh Raspberry PI OS (Trixie 64 bit) on a Raspberry PI 3 and updated, upgraded I used the command: curl -L https://install.domoticz.com | sudo bash.

That starts working and after a short period of time the Welcome to Domiticz windows shows (whiptail if i'm correct) . The keyboard, however, seems to become nonresponsive. The OK button cannot be pressed. Not with a mouse either. Any thoughts out there about this issue?

With Kind Regards, aad_aka_2733

Did you try [tab] to select and [space] to confirm?

Yup I did. In the meantime it was solved by stepping back to Bookworm, fresh install and folowing the instructions here instead of chatgpt :-(

Chatgpt suggested: curl -L https://install.domoticz.com | bash

Instalation guide here: sudo bash -c "$(curl -sSfL https://install.domoticz.com)"

My next step today is using Trixie, 64 bit again just to make sure that this could have worked.

Thanks!
