Update from 17447 to 17452 Domoticz fails to restart, tried on 2 different beta installs, same on both. a sudo systemctl restart domoticz does start it though.

Did you update over webgui? Did you try to run manually:
sudo ./updatebeta

What hardware/OS are you running as it could be related to viewtopic.php?t=44457

Same here. 17452 does not start automatic. Manual restart does the trick.
Raspberry Pi 4 with Trixie13.4

Maybe you have to wait a while, I have seen that when the counter reach 100, that when the counter could be at 130, the dashboard is back without a service restart

Update was done via the gui, have to wait until another update to see if it actually restarts then

Just updated to 17458 and now restarts OK

I waited long enough but I needed a manual restart on 17458 also.
The log says the service has started, but it looks like there's no connection to the database.

Hmm, yesterday i did an update to 17437 without problems. Now the update again through the web ui, Domoticz didn't come online. Had to do a service restart. There is still something going on with the update procedure when using the web ui. After the service restart Domoticz was on 17459.

Same with 17459.
The log says the service has started.
But the files domoticz.db-shm and domoticz.db-wal are missing. After manual restart they are there again.

They suppose to be missing when the Domoticz service is shutdown properly. (you can google what these extensions mean)

try the following

sudo killall -9 domoticz
sudo service domoticz.sh start

This should get you up and running correctly, next try the web update

If it still does not work, just issue

cd domoticz
./updatebeta

Next update 17477 won't install either, no progress shown and keeps coming back

Update to 17484 via WebUI all good

No issues anymore. Updating though the web ui was ok. Tested with Bookworm and Trixie. Running Beta 17492 now.

Updating through the web ui failed. After some time: No internet connection...The update log file showed that the update was finished. Updating was from 17494 to 17497. A domoticz service start did not help, had to do a service restart.

Just wanting to point out that I (and others) with multiple installations do not experience this issue.

As you are already in discussion with us on Github, it is not needed to create a forum post.
