Z4D plugin problem on Trixie

Post by Fredom »

Dear members,
I'm currently switching to Trixie. I've installed everything without any problems, but unfortunately, the Z4D plugin just won't work. I've carefully followed the wiki instructions, but I keep getting an error message that I can't figure out. Does anyone have a solution for me? Below is what I did and the error message.

Code: Select all

fredom@raspberrypi:~ $ python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt --upgrade -t /home/fredom/Domoticz_Python_Environment
ERROR: Could not open requirements file: [Errno 2] Bestand of map bestaat niet: 'requirements.txt'
fredom@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt --upgrade -t /home/fredom/Domoticz_Python_Environment
ERROR: Could not open requirements file: [Errno 2] Bestand of map bestaat niet: 'requirements.txt'
fredom@raspberrypi:~ $ cd /home/fredom/domoticz/plugins/Domoticz-Zigbee
fredom@raspberrypi:~/domoticz/plugins/Domoticz-Zigbee $ python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt --upgrade -t /home/fredom/Domoticz_Python_Environment
ERROR: Could not open requirements file: [Errno 2] Bestand of map bestaat niet: 'requirements.txt'
fredom@raspberrypi:~/domoticz/plugins/Domoticz-Zigbee $

Yours sincerely,
Fred

I was planning about moving to trixy as well. However some problems and reading about that made me gonto bookworm. Trixy is not stable enough to run on a pi, at least not for me on a production system.

Tip: us full-upgrade so you don't accidently brick your system a I did, because of missing dependencies.

Then you did not follow the instructions :-)
https://zigbeefordomoticz.github.io/wik ... g-on-linux
But instead of the option to use the –break-system-packages use the python venv option as you already followed https://zigbeefordomoticz.github.io/wik ... alEnv.html

Hi Walter,
I've tried both links and keep running into the same problem, see below. I also tried using AI in various ways, and then I managed to install the plugin, but of course, it didn't work. The domoticz log was full of errors. I'm afraid this won't work on Trixie.

Code: Select all

fredom@raspberrypi:~ $ cd /home/fredom/domoticz/plugins/Domoticz-Zigbee
fredom@raspberrypi:~/domoticz/plugins/Domoticz-Zigbee $ python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt --upgrade -t /home/fredom/Domoticz_Python_Environment
ERROR: Could not open requirements file: [Errno 2] Bestand of map bestaat niet: 'requirements.txt'
fredom@raspberrypi:~/domoticz/plugins/Domoticz-Zigbee $

Yours sincerely,
Fred

Hi Walter,
You made my day. Your suggestion solved the problem. It works now. I did see an error, and I'm not sure if I need to do anything about it, but Z4D does work. Thanks a lot!
