Imported and exported electricity price

Post by psubiaco »

Hi.
I believe it will be very useful to have two electricity price devices:
1. imported electricity price: what we pay for each kWh from the grid. This price should be applied to all "usage" meters
2. exported electricity price: what we receive for each kWh to the grid. This price should be applied to all "return" meters
What do you think?
Thanks a lot all for this great software!

When you have a fixed price contract you can use a P1 meter device that has a separate price for usage and return (and use the same price for T/R1 and T/R2). When your fixed contract ends you can manually update the prices.
You have to set the calculation device to internal meter.

The P1 smart meter device is the device to use to monitor your grid usage and delivery.

In the Netherlands it is already very difficult as each energy supplier has its own calculation method to calculate usage and return prices.
For dynamic contracts (prices change per hour) normally usage and return prices are the same (in the Netherlands).

Additional, the energy prices for your solar production are fixed (the depreciation of investment in solar panels/total produced solar energy).
And better not to calculate with that as what is the price of used solar energy compared to delivered to the grid solar energy?

So when you want to be complete in costs you have to set a specific price per energy meter as it can be different for all.

In Italy, energy sent to the grid is paid to a price proportional to the ENTSO-e price, that varies every 15 minutes.
Below an example (this is hourly price, actually price changes every 15 minutes)

The used energy price has a different type of cost: it may be
* flat
* change 3 times per day
* change every 15 minutes

For these reason I believe that it will be very versatile and powerful to add in Domoticz a new device for returned energy (energy fed to the grid).
I have a virtual P1 meter, but cannot specify anything: prices are get from Domoticz, same price for usage and return energy. I did not get any possibility to specify two different price for purchased and sold energy.
Regards,
Paolo
