Help needed with NEST thermostat -> 2th gen

Post by zicht »

Version: 2025.2 (build 16995)
Build Hash: b5d05e770
Compile Date: 2025-12-11 14:19:14
dzVents Version: 3.1.8
Python Version: 3.10.6 (tags/v3.10.6:9c7b4bd, Aug 1 2022, 21:38:17) [MSC v.1932 32 bit (Intel)

I was stil using an old python nest (own build) implementation and it stopped working a couple of weeks ago.

So i thought it was a good time to switch to native nest support.
When adding the hardware Nest Oauth and following the wiki i discovered the google sdm site is complex and wiki supoosed screens are different.
Most of it i succeeded. I got my projectid, client id & secret.
But the pin autorisation url is nowhere to find. How to get this ?

Edit : i followed https://wiki.domoticz.com/NestDeveloperApiKey

Edit2 : found how it workes its very different today and complicated, but my nest is not supported anymore by sdm (2th gen), it returns on oauth playground only empty reponses {} on devices and structures.
Did anyone find a solution on this ?500o

Edit3 : Turns out google as an error in the new api flow (device -> api connection failure, functionaly its broken for me ending in an endless loop while setting up. Support just returns standard answers. Further invest does turnout google is phasing out nest. So i am building a heat sensor from a radiatorvent sensor with a doorbel signal sender to circumvent. I just orded a 12v relais (and wil use an 10kOhm resistor and 500ohm a 220uF capicitor), to convert the sensor to a "simulated" push on button signal while loading the condensor (needed due to the doorbel sensor keeps sending as the sensor bimetal is closed) Doing this i abandon the broken api setup flow totaly. tried 10 times and dont want to invest any time anymore in something that is this complicated.

This could perhaps be interesting if your NEST thermostat is not smart anymore:
Breathe fresh life into your bricked Nest, now with 100% less evil! :

Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar
