Problem Replacing Device

Since I moved to 2025.1 I've had a problem with the HDD device on my Pi motherboard. The old device stopped working, I believe due to changes discussed here viewtopic.php?p=325078&hilit=motherboard#p325078

Whilst I can allow the new device to be created (which does update), if I try to replace the old one, it transfers all of the new data across then doesn't update anymore. A few seconds later a new device called HDD / is recreated

Debug logging shows the replace, the subsequent automatic deletion of the incorrect device then nothing else until I allow the recreation.

Any ideas how I can fix this given the logs don't show much?

Just to be sure (because it is a normal percentage device):

Did you press 'Edit' on the >>> OLD <<< device, pressed 'Replace' and selected the >>> NEW <<< device?

I did & must now have tried maybe 10 times following beta version upgrades.
I also tried the other way around after previous fails to see whether the histories would merge. Obviously they didn't & I needed to restore from a backup so that I didn't lose 10 years of data.
I'd really hoped the debug log would give me a clue but it looks to me that Domoticz thinks it's working correctly & the problem is with the change in the reporting of the HDD device 😪

Is there a way that I can change the properties of the original device so that they exactly match those of the one that's been reported since 2025.1, ie DevID 00000450 or would this be a bad idea?

I would personally just delete the old sensor... who cares about 10 years of history about harddisk size?

I think I know what is going on....

This hardware class is using the device 'Options' field to store certain information and this was not copied when replacing a device

Could you try with beta 16758, this should solve the issue
