Getting water usage from older water meters which often use a rotary wheel isn’t any problem but has anyone managed to get usage data from newer digital meters? In my case the municipal has been replacing older watermeters with new 2nd generation digital meters and I’ll most likely going to get either of the below models installed end of this month:
Anyone already have a solution place to harvest the data from either device?
Digital watermeters data harvesting?

Sometimes they are getting linked to the smart energy meters and then they can be read through the P1 interface. Domoticz P1 smart meter gateway is prepared for that.

So they’re linked wireless to a smart gateway and then via a P1 cable?

Yes. Do you have manufacturer and type numbers of those water meters? Makes it a lot easier to search.
Do you already have a smart electricity meter from your electricity company?
You are based in Sweden?

Re: Digital watermeters data harvesting?
Correct I’m based in south Sweden and the meters that the city seem to plan to install is either of the models shown above: Sagem SK-MI001 or Axioma LT-1621-MI001. Both units seem to use LoRaWAN as protocol.
And yes I have smart meter from local electric company but whether these watermeters utilise these as gateway is something I would need to check. Got any link on the topic?
Update: Most likely the electric meter is used to gather the smart watermeter data and if that is the case would you have a link how to setup or filter out the watermeter data?

Re: Digital watermeters data harvesting?
If they will be connected to the electric meter, the water data will be automatically added to the P1 telegram and picked up by Domoticz. Domoticz will create an extra watermeter device, next to the existing electricity and perhaps gas devices.
