Adding new domoticz user - can't login remotely, only local

Hello,

Domoticz Version: 2024.4, running on raspberry pi.

I made a new user in domoticz, that I want to use in my mobile app.
When I try to login using the (android) app, it fails.
It is the same if I try to access it through my browser, connecting to my external IP.

domoticz log shows Error: Failed login attempt from "routerIP" for user 'xxxxx' !

Using my old user, I am always able to login.

Perhaps try with a simplified password. It could be some special characters are not supported...

I'm using the same password for both users, and same result when it is limited to letters and numbers.

Is the old user an admin or also a restricted user?

It is admin.
So, I made the new user into an admin aswell, and rebooted the system.
Now I'm able to login remotely.

But part of the reason why I made the new user was so that it wouldn't have to be admin.

I remember there is some bug that after a new user creation you need to restart Domoticz to get it working with authorisation. Solved in latest beta (or discussed there).

So perhaps try again with a normal user after a reboot.

I could've swore I tried that already, but rebooting the system worked.
Apparantly also need to reboot after changing a password.

Thanks for the help.
