Hi,

I have a Zigate usb dongle that I want to replace with a Sonof-E dongle.
Can I do this gracefully? I have a lot of zigbee zigate devices in my Domoticz.
Like to migrate devices one-by-one.

When I replace the dongle. Will the old devices be recognized and usable within Domoticz or will I have to pair every device again ?

When you enable the new dongle you have to pair all zigbee devices to the new Sonof-E dongle. But as zigbee device ID stays the same the plugin just reuses the old existing Domoticz device.

There is no way to use both dongles on the same time. So that will be a big bang.

Ok. So the code doesnt need to be changed. The devicenamr stays the same thanks to the same deviceid.
But every device needs to be paired again. Sounds logic.

Indeed your scripts keep working. You have to have a recent version of the plugin as it needs other drivers. You also have to change the plugin settings after you have changed the USB stick to get the correct drivers loaded.
