Hi!

Question about the sonoff zigbee dongle (-E version)
Which firmware version of that dongle is reccomended for use with zigbee for domoticz plugin? There is a lot of contradictory information online on which firmware to use.

I'm currently on 6.10.3, but im experiencing some issues. At one or 2 switches in my mesh the switch command sometimes arrives late, or not at all.

Before, I used the pizigate but i decided to upgrade from buster to bullseye ( by a clean new install on a new pi4 instead of my old 3b) and upgrade the dongle as well. Didn't like the pizigate on the i/o headers of the pi.

To make the answer precise, Zigbee for Domoticz plugin relys on the zigpy radio library for Texas Instrument, SiliconLabs and deConz zigbee chipset and their corresponding key.

For the Sonoff E dongle which is based on SiliconLabs I would pointed out to https://github.com/zigpy/bellows#firmware-requirement

As your issue is concerned, prior to look after firmware, I will look at the overall environment and also at this https://zigbeefordomoticz.github.io/wik ... twork.html which could give you some hints

Thanks for your reply!

I think the information on which firmware to use on the bellows site might be a little outdated, as it has last been updated in 2022.

I found the wiki, and I am checking things off of the list on what to do to improve reception. Coördinator firmware was suggested there, hence the question.

I will stick with the current firmware I have right now, it is not the latest but it is a slightly more recent one than that is mentioned on the zigpy bellows site.

Might need to add another router to increase coverage i guess

I have the same Zigbee dongle and firmware version, everything works excellent here. Your problem might have a different cause, as pipiche is suggesting. You can check the connection quality in the Zigbee web ui, at Device Management. Good luck!
