I have been struggeling to get the new JS UI to work, i have a quite old aeotech gen 5 stick, and i read somwere that these sticks older than 2018 couldnt be upgraded to newer firmwares, is that true and how can i see which version i have?
i have never updated this stick before ,but which software should i use if so?
if i buy a new aeotech gen 5 stick, can i clone the old settings/nodes to this new one?
i notices that the new ones have aeotech written on them, so i guess that they are the newer ones.

thanks in advance.

I have an old one from 2016 that ran until last year, until I bought a new one during a discount and the old is now stored as a spare/backup.
New one is the gen5 that had the HW change to solve the issues using USB3 ports (that needed a wire modification or using a USB2 hub on oldest devices): Before using it, under waranty, I upgraded this new gen5 to the latest FW that in fact made it a zstick gen5+ device.

So can say latest gen5 devices can be upgraded without issue to gen5+ FW. Did not tried this for my old gen5 but saving it's config and restore to new one made "gen5+" worked flawlessly using Aeotec utility (from windows, unfortunately, not possible to do this on a PI).

As I stick (ha-ha) to OZW, I of course did not tried update/backup options that may exist in zwavejs bulky SW pile...
