Replacement error

Trying to replace an old rain gauge (Alecto on RFXcom) with a new one (TFA 30.3233.01 also on RFXcom). Just like in this post, I get the message: "No devices to Transfer too!" when I try to replace the Alecto. That message is only found twice on this forum, so I can't really think of anything I could try.
A suggestion anyone?
