Domoticz

Found many help pages to add the virtual openweathermap plugin, have registered and set data for my town. On the Domoticz weather menu, there is a "Forecast" button upper right, what fetch and show the next days from openwearhermap. So in general yes this work well.

While this put these line into the protocol

But aside from several reboot and domoticz restarts, not one device from OWS did appear. Is this some kind of bug in version 2023.1?

Is ‘enable new devices’ active?

If I m right the actual "openweather" hardware work only with old API key.
If you have register on your site recently, it's normal.

Okay understood, the module is broken and only with a payment plan ist will run again. Too bad that also darkweather was assimilated into Apple to squeeze money out of the people. Think the future for Domoticz is to use an own weather station.

In latest beta you can use Visual Crossing weather lookup. You can just change the api key and change the hardware gateway and it will take over the weather devices.

It is not ‘broken’ as it functions perfectly (and free) for everyone that still holds an v2.5 API key.

New accounts only get a v3.0 OneCall API key, for which also a ‘freemium’ plan is available (just stay under the 1000 calls per day, which is fine to get updated info every 5 mins).

Problem is that the current module uses 2 different API’s including the previous version of the OneCall API.

So either the old module has to be updated (which forces existing users with a v2.5 API key to get a new key by subscribing to a new plan) or create a second module that supports the updated API’s.

tryin my luck with the norwegian weather service now. Hope this will not also be eaten up by big business, it deliver values but their webserver deny to show the chart inside from domoticz.
