Hello,

For those sticking to OZW but may buy recent devices that have no config files in Domoticz integration, looks JEEDOM Zwave plugin (not the waveJS one) still get some updates, at least on config files side:

Zooz, for instance, provides some zwave devices in zigbee price range... JEEDOM configs for them exists that were not pushed to OZW repository (maybe no-one still active with the required rights to merge them?).

As well, some fixes were done in the last year or so for existing devices that may help some Domoticz users having problems with them. Check last update dates.

Theses missing/updated configs can be manually copied in domoticz/Config/<MANUFACTURER> directory + (if new file) the line that makes the link between device IDs and config file added in domoticz/Config/manufacturer_specific.xml

This'll need a domoticz stop and restart to take this into account. Take care to restore those files after domoticz updates (as OZW still present in recent betas).

This may look old-fashioned to those having made the ZwaveJS jump, but when OZW does a good job for you since years with a much better integration in Domoticz, ZwaveJS+MQTT etc is not so attractive...

You can probably just disable and re-enable the plugin on the hardware page instead of stopping domoticz.

I share that experience. I’ve been using it for many years and I’ve never had any problems due to OZW.
It is really a shame that this solution is no longer maintained because nothing replaces a fully integrated soluton in terms of ease of use.
Many new users are discouraged by the integration of the alternative solution (we see in the messages that many have trouble integrating it despite the different tutorials), and some will abandon Domoticz for a more user-friendly solution.

Good news. Hopely this keeps maintaned and maybe updated.
OZW works for me for years without problems and I like to keep it like that

Hope that some one integrates these updated files in the Domoticz package. I will stick to Open Zwave as long as I can.

Could be done easily, but I don't think a PR for this will be accepted... With another PR for openzwave removal pending since the day after last stable!
Looks there was another compile issue for OZW with recent Ubuntu/ssl libs. So maybe some code changes in OZW (probably just skipping the config update feature, as this is probably the only thing network related there) should also be done.
