SLWF-01pro Midea Wi-Fi Module

Post by BarryT »

Hi all,

after months of problems with my inventor/midea wifi connections, i get enough of it and did recieved 4 smartlight (esp) wifi modules.
The new msmarthome app is not functional at all, and the old nethome plus is also having troubles with time based settings.
so, i did buy these 4 usb-devices to try to use then in domoticz, but ....
i flashed them with the right airco firmware, and after connecting to wifi and in the browser i can use them.
wauw... but there is support for home assistant, but the solder told me that it was also usable in domoticz as well but i could nothing found about it.

can someone please tell me if and how i can import/use these wifi modules in domoticz?

Thanks!

If it supports esphome Autodiscover it should be usable with Domoticz MQTT Autodiscover gateway see wiki page https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/MQTT#Add_ ... Gateway.22
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar

Thanks for answering Walter, i have added the mqtt auto Discover but there is nothing coming in it seems?
I had already mqtt with lan interface wich i use for a lot of devices, so i disabled that hardware and added the 'new' mqtt autodisover, but there is nothing going on?
Debug stays empty when enabling the plugin..
Thanks a lot!!

You can have both mqtt gateways enabled. They can function next to each other as they subscribe to different topics.
Debug with mqtt explorer what topics are received. See the debug section of the mqtt wiki.

The only thing i see in MQTT Explorer is that device (homeassistant) is Online.. No further messages are recieved? :(
So, no new hardware is added into domoticz as well.. Also it does not recieve anything more except online after turn device on / off, or set temperature :(
What can this be?

Thanks!!

Looks like a problem in the device and it seems that you are the Esphome expert here :-)

Well, i'm not the esphome expert in here? I wish i was!
In the browser the usb device works perfectly with the midea heatpump, so it has something to do with the mqtt / mqtt autodiscover?

It seems that this Esphome is not sending (correct) mqtt messages so it has to be somewhere in the Esphome configuration. I do not have any experience with this. Perhaps someone else can step in.

Yes, everything works perfectly!
The first 3 times decompiling gives an error, but after change some ids and the board it was succesfull.
Its all good now.

When compiling we had to add the mqtt: broker and disabled the api:.. after that mqtt works and can use a lot of (midea) devices..
If you need the yaml just let me know i will add it here.

Its not that hard , the sticks comes with esphome on board so you only need homeassistant and the esphome plugin to compile.
After that you can flash the board with your custom firmware.

I made some mistakes in the first compile code so esphome was gone on the board after ota update and didnt startup anymore. So i had to soldering the pins and installed esphome again before i could re-flash them from ota.

Now the code is correct and could use for all (midea) devices with mqtt broker.

I think I have these modules in my AC - Unit.
tomorrow I will open one of the modules to see what is inside them. I use the NetHomePlus app to control them from my phone. I also have an HA server in which a friend integrated them using the Midea AC LAN integration.
