Hi all,
I finally found a solution for a rain meter that immediatly detects rain at the start, not like typically bucket sensor which need a few minutes before first detection. I made a topic on a dutch forum, but Google Translate will do the trick for sure.
Enjoy!

Re: Rain sensor that detects rain immediatly
Nice discovery. I am using a Kemo M152K quite succesfully with a Sonof switch module module although it is quite expensive.

They do a non capacitive version which I found to be unreliable, even using run-off water rather than direct rain.
