While there are quite a few zwave smart plugs available with can provide measurement of electricity used, but are there zwave socket based energy meters available which only monitors the energy used and nothing else? While it doesn't seem so - which zwave smart plug would be recommend if one only have the interest of monitoring the energy used and critical that if there is power outtake that it's not being reset so it's switched off.

A Fibaro walli outlet can do all that. Also all Fibaro products are able to remember they're state (it's a setting).

But a Shelly wall plug is less than halve the price, but uses Wifi and not Zwave.

The difference is that if there is a energy meter which can only monitor the consumption and nothing to avoid any kind of issues as mentioned.

Also why I'm asking is that some devices might quite bad on providing accurate values, so that's why I'm asking. In the past when previously visited this topic there could be up 10% diff on the values reported.

Haven't used any WiFi related devices with Domoticz so haven't read up on how easy they're to get to work. Primary running with zwave devices and secondary some legacy 433mhz sensors.

As mentioned Fibaro/Aeotec are good zwave sockets and you can configure what should happen when a power outage happens (keep it off, switch to last state)

For zigbee you can have a look at (for instance) Tuya TS0121, where you can also specify this behaviour

Thanks for the input and I went for the Fibaro wall plug which was works as fine and even have settings to disable the button on the device itself to avoid that the plug disabled accidentality and yes it returns to the previous state directly after power outage.
