Hi all,
I've bought a odroid c4 with a smart meter cable and a RFXCOM (RFXTX433XL).
For now, I just want to connect some lights and my screens with it, in the future I want to script a bit.
Level of programming/it: let's assume i'm a noob.
I have at home:
3 somfy screens
3 klikaanklikuit switches + remote control
2 KAKU RGB9 light bulbs
I first tried to figure out how to use RFXmgr to pair my screens, but skipped it to do the lights first. For pairing the lights i just used domoticz "light/switches" and pair them manually and self learning (both worked) for pairing KAKU switches.
So:
- I have paired the 3 klikaanklikuit switches with the remote control
- I can get the 2 KAKU RGB9 light bulbs in pairing mode (switch on/of 5 times), but i can't see them / get them connected in domoticz.
I can get them in "pairing mode", but can't find them in domoticz / connect them with self learning. ( i have read i have to do some scripting to change colors: but lets start with the connection)
- I can get the 3 somfy screens in pairing mode (program button at the remote), but i can't see them / get them connected in domoticz: lets focus on the bulbs first.
Lets begin at the beginning: has someone some easy advices of how to connect those KAKU RGB bulbs to domoticz?

I don't have those bulbs in the UK but a quick internet search seems to imply they are zigbee based, if so you need a zigbee coordinator and some extra software to install (zigbee2mqtt and an mqtt broker), they won't talk to an RFXCOM, completely different frequency and protocol I'm afraid.

Somfy needs to be Somfy RTS. Note that Somfy IO is operating at 868MHz and not supported.
See Chapter 9 in the RFXtrx User Guide how to pair the Somfy RTS motors. Or use Domoticz and select a random ID set the motor in learning mode and click the TEST button in Domoticz.

Re: Beginners question: How to pair with a RFXCOM
If the bulb is indeed this one: https://klikaanklikuit.nl/product/dimba ... dlamp-e27/ aka ZLED-RGB9 then it is a Zigbee bulb and not a RF one. It will not work with RFXCOM. See also the warning on the KAKU page.
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)

Thanks for the feedback,
Somfy is (as far as i can see) RTS, so with chapter 9 ( i had seen the documentation: have to do this again but better).b_weijenberg wrote: ↑Tuesday 09 August 2022 12:24 Somfy needs to be Somfy RTS. Note that Somfy IO is operating at 868MHz and not supported.

Thx for the input: a beginners mistake. Guess i will bring back those bulbs and look for other bulbs.Dave21w wrote: ↑Tuesday 09 August 2022 10:58 I don't have those bulbs in the UK but a quick internet search seems to imply they are zigbee based, if so you need a zigbee coordinator and some extra software to install (zigbee2mqtt and an mqtt broker), they won't talk to an RFXCOM, completely different frequency and protocol I'm afraid.

Re: Beginners question: How to pair with a RFXCOM
I don't think you will find 433Mhz bulbs anywhere, not something I have seen, if you wish to control stuff via 433 then if they are table lamps you could always use the 433 mains plugs or if we are talking ceiling lights then you will need to replace the switch with one that works on that frequency. LightwaveRF first generation devices work on 433 and are fully supported by RFXCOM and Domoticz.
