Dashticz dial

Post by droepie »

I have to be honest and say that I wasn't really actively using Domoticz for the last 2 years. I had switched to Home Assistant. Nevertheless, I decided to download the latest release of Domoticz. Then when Aurora didn't work I started to investigate and in the process I also stumbled upon Dashticz. And I find that fantasticz although I have made a very nice dashboard in Home Assistant with a map of my house on which also the lights come on in the right color and open doors are visible.
However, now I run into two problems with Dashticz at the moment:
The first is the language. In my dials the texts for the wind and Evohome are still in English while in the config I specified 'NL-nl'. I saw that more people had encountered this but I can't find the solution in the large amount of answers. Have I forgotten to do something or is there a bug here?
The second one also concerns the nice dial buttons.I also use them for Hue color lights, but I have not seen the possibility to adjust the color via a popup in the dial. I have created a separate traditional button for that and it is not as nice. Is there another way to do this and through the dial? Or should I wait and submit a request for a next relay?

And I'm sorry if I opened a new topic if this was already discussed but I could not find it.

Currently the Evohome dials are in English only: no translations have been made.
Dashticz already contains translation mechanisms, so it will not be too much work to add it.
I'll add it to the request list.
Could you send me the Dutch translations?

For the RGB dial:
The center part currently works as a toggle to switch on/off the light.
I can add a block parameter to open the the color selection window instead.
I'll add that to the list as well.

Sorry, I did not see the questions were answered. I'm used to Home Assistant where you get an e-mail when someone responded. Thank you for the quick response

According to the Honeywell display the translation in Dutch should be:

Auto = Auto
Economy = Eco
Away = Afwezig
Custom = Vakantie (although that doesn't mean exactly the same) Aangepast (is better but does'nt show on my display)
Day Off = Vrije dag
Off = Uit (or on the display 'Verwarming uit' but that is maybe to long)

The translations for the wind are already in the translation table I found in Dashticz. For both SSE (= ZZO) and SouthEast (= ZuidOost)

Thanks for the rapid change. Only one thing that could be better. In the Netherlands we use 'Eco' rather then 'Economie' in case of something being in a mode that is less spilling with resources. (In this case the dial for EVOHOME).

Hi Lokonli

I noticed that the hidden Off level is show on the dial
You have the option with a selecto to hide the Off level (first option). This is then hidden in Domoticz, but not in my Dial selector

I was always afraid of discovering new possibilities with Domoticz, but I have come to love Dashticz.
Also because a great community platform helps others:

I can't get numbers in the right DIAL, how can this be added?

It's displayed as an OnOff dial. Is that intentional?
Can you show your block definition for the right dial?

it's not meant to be a on/off switch, if you click the button, the corresponding graph pops-up
i prefer the same layout as the other two

definition is:

blocks['SolarEdge'] = {

min: 0,

Can you post the outcome of:

Code: Select all

http://192.168.1.11:8080/json.htm?type=devices&rid=163
This will give an overview of the SolarEdge device.
Don't forget to change to your own Domoticz ip address and port number.
Blah blah blah

Maybe you have set config['use_favorites'] to true (or 1) in CONFIG.js

Because then at startup Dashticz only receives information of devices that are marked as Favorite in Domoticz.
Your SolarEdge device is not marked as Favorite.
Dials without device information will be created as on/off dials by default.

So, mark your SolarEdge device as Favorite, or change the config setting to:

Code: Select all

config['use_favorites'] = 0
