Max CH water SetPoint issue

Post by kurtsil »

Hi

I'm using OTGW with my Vitodens 050-W for a few days.
Everything was ok, but one day something happens.

When I want change "Max CH water SetPoint" I get "BV (Bad Value)" Error. Here are my logs:

2022-02-14 19:30:36.363 Status: Vitodens 050-W: Setting Max CH water SetPoint to: 37.0
2022-02-14 19:30:36.363 Status: EventSystem: reset all device statuses...
2022-02-14 19:30:36.633 Status: Vitodens 050-W: SH: BV

I didn't change anything this day.
I can change other parameters besides "Max CH water SetPoint"

Do you have any idea where to find a solution?

Hi

I found solution.
On other forum I found that there is a problem with Viessman boilers. That after some time you cannot change MAX CH Water SetPoint bigger that is in such moment. You can only lower it down.

And in such situation you have to reset your boiler and after reset you should send a command with Max CH Water Setpoint value 75.

So I was doing it in such way:
GW=R
and then
SH=75

And after a while I put correct value like 33 or 35 and it worked well.

Now unfortunatelly it stopped to work and I don't know whats going on, because my boiler has max CH Water Value 29 and it cannot be changed up.

Same problem for me, I have a Calenta 35. That is very bad because if lower it you cannot increase the water temperature and heat properly your home. Even worse, you can see but not control by acting on the Calenta menu. After many attempt, I have found the solution: I switch off the heater by my on/off thermostat. Then, I set a very high water temperature (say 65 or so) by using the buttons on the heather. Finally I switch on the thermostat so that Calenta starts getting and the maximum control set is magically updated to that high value.
