Just added one of these sensors, it's already supported in OZW. I reached out to Aeotec to find out what is considered low battery for my low battery notification script. They said if you have v1 firmware it's 0 and if it's v2 firmware it's <20. The firmware is the application version listed in the control panel.
To extend battery life, I turned off things I don't need like the LED status, tilt sensor, scenes, group 2, etc. However, I increased the wake-up from the default 1 week to 24 hours.
Works great, quick response, and the gap on the contact is really wide so no issues with odd framed doors.
