Merge two databases /append data from old database to new database

Domoticz is running in a docker on my Synology NAS I have version 2021.1 (build 13628) installed.

I have been using a P1 cable to read out my smart meter and store the data in Domoticz. However, a month ago I switched hardware and now have a gateway to monitor and log the smart meter data. Unfortunately, this is a new device and thus it's logging started the day it was installed.

I still have all the old devise from the old P1 meter in Domoticz; it's stopped logging the day the new devise was installed.

Would it be possible to transfer data from the old to the new device (so, manipulate the database)? I would love to compare gas usage over the years, but now I have two separate devices and two sets of data.

On a device there is a replace button. I know for sure that that works for Temp/hum devices, used it several times.
So save you database and try it with energy devices. My guess is that it will work.
