Play sounds, or speak sentences to your Alexa devices from Domoticz

Let's have some fun with our Home automation... :D

I've just added an Alexa script to my Domoticz Scripts collection. It wraps an excellent bash script, already discussed in this forum, to easily play sounds, or say sentences to your Alexa devices, when your switch devices change their states.

You can download it at https://github.com/soif/domoticz_scripts

- Contributions (especially to better write the documentation) are most welcome!
- If you need some help, please prefer posting issues to Github instead of here, as I'm not often present in the forum.

Enjoy,

Domoticz+Homebridge running on RPI3B Alexa with 2 echodot, named Echodot-Nicole Echodot-Pierre
Hello, I come back on this topic because I used this bash script for several years. Today it no longer works . I notice that the list of devices obtained by the -a option does not include my echodots. on the other hand I have a device "raze's 2nd Alexa App for PC" which corresponds to the Alexa application on my Windows PC. If I use it, the messages are broadcasted to my PC (provided the Alexa app is open). So I think the login is working. On my Amazon.fr account in the Devices section I also find this device, but not the echodots. On my phone, Alexa is correctly connected to my Amazon account. Thank-you for help.

I have deleted and reinitialized my Alexa account, and now it's OK

Just an add on, as it was introduced not so long ago: You can use this Alexa bash script also in Domoticz Notifications:
https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Managing_ ... ifications

Use the Action field in notifications to set the Alexa bash script (see above wiki link).
