Osram Ledvance not pairing (previously worked fine) - 'ConsistencyCheck': 'Bad Pairing'

Can anyone help with pairing a device I know previously worked fine?

Product Name
Osram/Ledvance Smart+ Garden Pole RGBW

Brand
Osram/Ledvance

URL on a web site
*https://www.ledvance.com/consumer/produ ... able-c6296

What do you expect
Device to pair and show up in domoticz.
This previously worked fine when I was trying the device within the house. Due to poor signal to a garden extension I changed the channel (from 11 to 19) and had to remove/reset my devices.
I now have good signal to some Zigbee devices within the extension and this device is just outside it (there are some switches acting as routers along the way)

The logs from the pairing process

Could you kindly tell us more:

- Firmware and plugin Version ?
- how many devices are already paired ( routers / end devices ) ?

At least from what I see in the log is that the device start the pairing but didn't go through. So it could be that it could be related to a PDM corruption at the Zigate firmware level.

Did you try to pair an other device, does it work ?

Hi

Firmware: 031e (Zigate v1)
Routers: 12
End devices: 12

I just deleted a Zigbee Osram bulb (different device) from Domoticz and confirmed it was removed in Zigate. No issue repairing it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I was thinking of purchasing the V2 anyway - but I cant seem to get it delivered to the UK.

The logs related to a potential corruption of the Permanent Data Memory of the ZiGate. This happen on the firmware 31d/31e.
Basically your device do the device announcement, the ZiGate start the pairing process but cannot keep it, this is why there is no more communication between the 2.

This is why I asked if you are able to pair an other new devices ( not removing and pairing ).

At first, what you can do is:
1- Power off the ZiGate: You stop the plugin and then you remove the ZiGate from the USB wait for several seconds and then you plug it back and finaly restart the plugin. Then you try to add the device . It happened sometime to unlock the situation.

2- If this is not successful, the only way I see is to restart from scratch on the ZiGate side.
You can take this opportunity to flash the 31f ( OptiPDM version) with Erase EEPROM and then ErasePDM (ZiGate Initiatlize)
Then you simply repair all devices (starting with all routers). Checking after every pairing that the recent paired device works well, and finalyy you pair the end device (battery based)

Thanks.

Re-pairing not reay an issue

However, will wiping delete all zigbee switchee/devices from domotIcz? Or will they repair with same name/idx?

Should I get a V2 whilst at it if I can get one to the UK?

No , you have just to wippe on the ZiGate side, and all devices on Domoticz and Plugin will remains and will get re-connected. So you'll keep all history.

For the V2 please get in touch with the zigate.fr provider from the contact form, as I cannot help on this matter

I do not know why you should buy a V2 Zigate. You have enough device space on your V1 left. What else is better with a V2?

I also had a full Zigate V1 with 30 devices. There was a memory leak in the old firmware that cause deletion of devices not to be clearing the device table. After installing firmware 31e and do a full re-pairing of all devices on Zigate (with keeping the domoticz devices idx etc) everything works fine.

Just tried this device again (forgot all about it) after I have moved to the optiODM version etc.

This is my log:

The only thing that is different it that it is at the limits of my Zigbee network in the garden - although a plug/socket device works from the same location (and should be acting as a router?)

I could try moving it next to by Zigate device for pairing - however I will need to dig up the cable.... (it is outdoor lights)
