Could someone pls. help me with the following?:
The Domoticz log shown via the browser interface (Setup>Log) only shows me the last 15 minutes of Domoticz activity.
Is there a way (setting) to increase this? I know there is a way to log events externally and I do have these written to my NAS, but I don't want to keep that running all the time since my NAS will no longer 'fall asleep' and 99,99% of the time I don't need that big log. It would be convenient if
I could extend this 'browser log' to have that available for 25 hours or so (1 'day cycle'). "Setup>Settings>LOG History" settings do not seem to effect this particular "15 minute log" since 'Lights/Switches' is on 31 days and 'Short Log Sensors' is on 7 days. Regards and thanks in advance, Henny

Re: Domoticz log via browser interface
Or actually, I found that this log via browser only contains a certain (limited) amount of lines (when I increased the amount of log messages this log only contained 2 minutes or so).

Re: Domoticz log via browser interface
The size of the web based logfile cannot be increased without changing the source and recompile.
I have 300 lines in my web browser log. Because I only log the things I need to see this covers 40 hours on my production system (400 active devices, 20 enabled hardwares and dozens of dzVents scripts)
If that is not enough for you an alternative might be to log to RAM of your PI. Described on this wiki page
NB Only use this method for logfile and not for database files domotiz.shm or domoticz.wal!
Debian buster, bullseye on RPI-4, Intel NUC.

Re: Domoticz log via browser interface
Thank you so much for your response Waaren. I had a look at the RAM disk option. That certainly is a possibility for me. I will first focus on minimizing my log entries. Maybe an idea to also increase the amount of lines for the web based log file a bit in the next Domoticz version/release? 300 lines these days is not that much all together in my opinion.
