Domoticz

Hi all,

I'm using beta 2020.2 (build 13129). To monitor my solar panels I use the Fronius plugin (by use of the dzVents script https://github.com/aukedejong/domoticz- ... ter-plugin.

Since around the 20th of March, at the early morning when the panels start generating power (around 6, 7 am), a big negative value is first entered following by the correct daily updates:



The script has been okay for I think 2 years now, with only regular Domoticz updates.

The Utility device is Electricity, Return type with 'From device' as Energy read setting.

Any idea how I can fix this?

Remove incorrect value from database

It is possible to remove an incorrect sensor value (record) from the database by shift+left mouse click on the value in on of the graphs on the device log page. You will get a popup dialog to approve the removal. This function is not working on the report page so it is not possible to remove data with this function older than 1 year.

Thanks for your quick help. Unfortunately that is not the issue here. It happens every day since ~20th of March. One thing I also tried but forgot to mention in the opening post is I tried to remove the device, recreate it, but the problem just continued. I'm thinking it could be related to an domoticz update, but not sure.

There were some issues with beta version on Energy devices around that time. Check the github issues for more info. I think you can update to the latest beta to see if things have changed.

I had same problem like you. I changed daily energy read from "from device" to "computed". The difference between Inverter and Domoticz in daily use is minimal.

Thanks that was it! Probably related to the issues referred to above by waltervl, the sensor might have flipped to from device.

After looking into to this more with above knowledge, indeed in the Fronius dzVents script (which worked a long time) contained an error, the update of the current/total energy was wrong. The total energy parameter was fed by the daily value from the inverters, not the total. This has always been the case, but because the sensor was now 'From device' this value was used iso the total.
