Problem after failing master

Hello all,
Since a few weeks i noticed some performance problems in my zwave setup.
At first i thought it was just to weak so i decided to explore the usage of a secondary controller on a secondary domoticz.
Things seemed to get better but yesterday i noticed a growing amount of error messages in the log file of the primary controller.
From there on to preserve my zwave network i decided to try an transfer of the primary role in which im not sure it worked, but it was late and i needed some sleep.
This morning the old primary controller seems to have definitely stopped doing anything the color ring is not changing colors anymore and my own PC doesn't recognize it anymore.
So now i looked in my secondary controller control panel and i see it is the master now but things get barely updated and some nodes even disappeared or are declared dead.
Is the someone who can help me out in getting things going again?
I know there is the possibility that i have to reset my complete zwave network but that would be a very very last resort.
Cheers,
Johan
