Hi,

I like to fully setup domoticz from scratch on a new sd-card but after that I'd like to restore all my old stuff like scripts, floorplans, settings aso.
Is there somehwere a how-to doc for this?
Currently I can' t copy the backupfiles as I don't know how to mount an external sd-card to the raspberry-pi I'm using.

Any suggestion?

I managed to recover some files to my windows system with
this tool
in the past.
Once you have them on your Windows desktop you can use WinSCP or a similar program to transfer them to your new Raspberry system.

1) backup database from Domoticz web page
3) Shutdown your RPI
4) remove its SD card and in another computer copy /home/domoticz folder
5) install new system and Domoticz
6) copy specific files to /home /domoticz new instaled ( scripts, images, floorplans - new versions do some of this by backup database, so no needed maybe )
7) restore database

can you clarify how you created the backup SD card?

There are multiple ways to pull the info from that card.
as waaren indicated, the diskinternals s/w for windows is one.
you can also create another copy of the sdd card using the raspberry accessories menu option sd card copier. if you do this, enable the tick box new partition UUIDs, that way you can use the SD card in an USB adapter and mount it under the new version to copy the scripts and DB .
