Budget two zone system

Post by joew »

Hi all

I’ve recently acquired a pub and would like to install Domoticz compatible CHEAP thermostats to the flat and the pub.

I’m familiar with evohome but room zoning would be overkill just need a couple of boiler relays for the upstairs and downstairs zones and the water heater. It’s an old open vented system with a new domestic Worcester boiler. The zone valves are standard electrically controlled Honeywell and the system has a bypass.

Also familiar with homebridge so Siri compatibility would be nice via homebridge.

The building is a small old village pub so energy saving isn’t a priority just control and measurement. (The cellar coolers cost 10x the amount of the heating per month)

I’ve read Worcester works well with opentherm but happy to be guided either way. Obviously with current pressures costs need to be minimal. I normally look for second hand rather than new so doesn’t need to be current models either.

Thanks in advance!
