Error with Zigbee

Post by EdwinK »

As I'm relatively new with Zigbee I'm running into an error I can't find how to fix. Everything seems to be working without a problem thoug.
2020-10-15 07:38:37.185 Error: (deCONZ) Can't Update Unit > 65520 (groups) : {'nValue': 1, 'sValue': 'on'}
When I look at this, to me it says that there are more then 65520 groups? I only have added a group living room, bedroom, ambiance and ceiling-lights. That is three.

:?

Hello.
No, don't worry, it s the group id, this one is the invisible group used by the gateway, is a group will all your lights (used by phoscon, useless for domoticz)

The normal procedure is an error at start (because this group is invisible, so domoticz can't see it during synchronisation
2020-10-15 17:23:12.031 Error: (deCONZ) Websocket error, unknow device > 65520 (groups)
After that domoticz ask for information and add this group to domoticz, and avoid all new error message.

I think you have disabled the "new device addition" option in domoticz, so the plugin can't add it ?

Yes. I have the 'new device' disabled, as I don't want to get 100's of devices from neighbours.

Will see what happens when I turn it on.

You won't get any neighbours devices, a zigbee device has to be in pairing mode to be able to be seen by a coordinator, I have a running system and a test system, neither see's the devices on the other setup.

And if you want to avoid some device, you can add them in the banned.txt file, they will be inored by the plugin.

What I meant were devices that RFXcom would pick up because of the 'allowance of hardware' in settings.

So, now that I have it the 'device activation' on for some time, I just noticed it created over 100 new devices. That was not something i wanted. So, I turned it off, and removed all those unwanted devices. Now the websocket error is back again,

You just need to have the device created by the plugin called "deCONZ - Group 65520" ID = "GROUP_Group_65520", after that you can re disable the "device activation".
