Python Plugin Framework - Enhacement of Device.Update()

Today the API we have inside the python plugin framework require an update of nValue and sValue at minimum.
If I need to update the Battery level of a device, I need to update the nValue and sValue. This has the consequences to trigger event
Would it be possible to enhance the Python Plugin Framework to get a specific API where
-Battery
- SignalLevel
- TimeOut
can be troggered without generating an Event/Notification
