Cannot add RFXMeter counter to room plan

Cannot add RFXMeter counter to room plan

I was playing with room plans and noticed that the (RFXMeter counter) Water Meter device described in

https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17123

cannot be added to a room plan (the device-filter does not reveal it as a valid device and it does not fit into any of the hardware categories). Anybody know why this is? Any workaround possible?
