How to create thermostat with only integer values?

I want to create a thermostat with a Python plugin that contains only integers.
This command creates a thermostat with a resolution of 0.5.
For me, this is a lot, the managed device only knows an integer value. And the value xy.5 appears on the interface, and it's confusing.
Is there a decimal resolution thermostat in the system? Maybe another subtype?
