xiaomi door sensor loosing connection to zigate

Post by wuffer »

I have xiaomi door sensor on my mailbox, so i can get a notification when i get mail. The problem is that if i dont get mail after some days, it looses connection and then i have to push the button on the side.
Battery is fine.

Is there something i can do, so it doesn't looses connection?

If you could give us some context. What is your Zigate network about. How many routers do you have how many end devices ? How far is the Xiaomi Door sensor from the next router (or Zigate) ?

What is the Zigate channel ?
What is your Wifi 2.4 channel ?

Not good with distance. But i live on the second floor and its just outside the front door, concrete building.
Cc2531 router couldn't reach it, so im using a cc2591 router

I only have 8 zigbee devices where 3 is routers, 2 xiaomi plugs and the cc2591 router.
2.4ghz is channel 11
zigate also at 11.

Should i change channel on zigate?

Wifi and Zigbee channels both set to 11 is perfect, as you avoid overlap .

Can you try to set the Zigate to FCC certification mode. You have to go the plugin Web Admin settings. (This might help)

How do you do the pairing ? with the sensor closed to the ZiGate or , the sensor in the mailbox ?

I pair it next to the cc2591 router. Then when it sits in the mailbox, it seems to be enough just to press the button on the side, for it to connect again
