I've released a Domoticz Plug-In app for Tasker, download it now from the app store:

Features:

This app has support for the next Tasker Actions:
- Toggle a Switch, selector, group or scene
- Send a notification
- Write a log
- Toggle an Event
- Set a value of user variables
- Call any generic Domoticz endpoint

Next the the actions, we have an websocket based Input Event:
- Get an Event in Tasker when a specific state is reached for a switch.

I am already using domoticz to control tasker, controlling domoticz from tasker would close the loop!

As a long time Tasker user (although very simple tasks at the moment) I nowneed to think of a scenario where I would to use this functionality.

Well, what about this one: as soon as your phone disconnects from your car and your phone is connected to the cell around your house, it is dark etc: turn on the light besides the front door of the house!

I tried to get this scenario to work for a long time. However tasker doesn't react on the Bluetooth disconnect when the phone is in my pocket, I guess some kind of sleep mode issue.

The domoticz premium android app has also bluetooth features..
You could set a switch on or off depending on your bluetooth connection.

For example I have a selector switch with my Name defined.. with states: Work, Home, Shopping, Swimming, Driving, Jogging

Work/Shopping/Swimming/Home are set on my selector based on Geofencing.
Driving and jogging are set based on the bluetooth connections of my car or headsed

Another update, I've also implemented an generic json endpoint option..
if you want some specific call to be done via api.. for example vacuum the database every night

I think this covers all the possible Actions that you would / could do with Tasker/Domoticz.
Im now going to look at the Events / Input.. see if we can implement a listeren for specific switches via Websockets..

Hi, can i use this plugin to notify tasker to launch an app in android?
I would like to click a physical button connected to domoticz and this should open a camera app on my andoid tablet.

Best may be to try it for yourself, and find out if the app suits your needs. If not, you can apply for a refund within 48 hours after app purchase (google play store). If so, please post your requests/comments here so developers can see what you need.

Just looking at my comment, maybe it wast clear:
I would like to send a message from domoticz server to tasker running on android - so that I can link an action in domoticz (button press) to an activity in tasker. this can be by triggering a URL or some other action.
Surely its a reasonable question before I buy - instead of going through the trouble of getting a refund...

You can do this with Tasker and Autoremote, I do this already.
Bought this plugin, and it should be able to do the same. Domoticz event triggers tasker via the Domoticz app and the plug-in. Haven't tried it yet however
