No update AEON Labs ZW095 Home Energy Meter Gen5+

Post by riffraff7 »

Hello,

First all, sorry for my english, I don't speak english very well.

I have a AEON Labs ZW095 Home Energy Meter Gen5+ device in my domoticz and zwave net in my raspberry pi 3. I have a Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5 too to comunicate with the zwave devices.
My problem is that AEON Labs ZW095 Home Energy Meter Gen5+ device doesn't update. The only way to update is pushing Refresh Node Infor in Domoticz. I have other devices (plugs) in my zwave net, and I haven't any problem, updating all information automatically.

Nobody knows if it is AEON Labs ZW095 Home Energy Meter Gen5+ device's problem? Of is it normal?
Is there something (with Lua/Events, or something different) to update automatically?

Thanks, and sorry for my english.

I have the same problem ... ZW095 not updating ...

Domoticz version is : Version: 2020.2 Build Hash: b63341bc0 Compile Date: 2020-04-26 13:47:55 dzVents Version: 3.0.2 Python Version: None
Raspi Linux version is : Linux raspberrypi 5.4.83-v7+ #1379 SMP Mon Dec 14 13:08:57 GMT 2020 armv7l PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)"

in Zwave nodes list :
008 (0x08) Powermeter AEON Labs ZW095 Home Energy Meter Gen5+ AEON Labs 0x005f 0x0002

in device configuration :
2. Power, energy detection mode: Report absolute value
3. Selective reporting: Disable
13. Reporting CRC-16 Encapsulation Command: Disable
101. Group 1 Reports: 3671818 (actual: 3671818)
102. Group 2 Reports: 14337 (actual: 14337)
103. Group 3 Reports: 458756 (actual: 458756)
111. Group 1 Interval: 5 (seconds) (actual: 5)
112. Group 2 Interval: 120 (seconds) (actual: 120)
113. Group 3 Interval: 120 (seconds) (actual: 120)

the device is NOT updating values as set in the group reports ... it doesn't update anything !

but, when I click the "Refresh Node Info" under the nodes list, it updates ALL the values at once ...

so it looks like the device is working but the group reports are not working ... huh ?

anybody have any idea ?

"polling" the device also works (values get rerported) ... only the "group reporting" function doesn't seem to work ... weird ... anybody knows a solution ?

Hello,

Could you try with the following settings for ZW095-Energy Home Meter:

2 - Report Absolute Value
3 - Selective reporting Disable
101 - Group 1 Reports : 13
102 - Group 2 Reports : 0
103 - Group 3 Reports: 0
111 - Group 1 Interval : 20
112 - Group 2 Interval : 0
113 - Group 3 Interval : 0

You should be able to get the Voltage, Intensity, Watt and Energy consumption every 20 secondes on a monophase AC circuit in the log.

2021-01-25 19:34:03.644 (ZWAVE) Current (Compteur Central-Intensite)
2021-01-25 19:34:03.744 (ZWAVE) General/kWh (Compteur Central-Consommation kWh)

I will try this, and report back ... but mine is 3-phase, so it will need to be adjusted ...

Hello,
For a 3 phases power supply you should set the Group 1 Report to 4144909 to get the whole HEM and the power, energy, voltage and intensity for each phase.

I've set group1 to "4144909" and interval1 to "60" and it's not reporting

Hello

To try tackling the issue could you:

1- Stop Domoticz : sudo service domoticz stop
and Wait for the prompt
2- Restart Domoticz : sudo service domoticz start
3- After a couple of minutes check in the domoticz log if you get this status line : "Status: OpenZWave: Awake Nodes queried"
4- Check the ZW095 device setting if the Group 1 Report is still 4144909 and Group 1 interval is 60
5- Open the OpenZWave Control Panel, select the ZW095 nodes and display the current values
You should get periodical updates of the HEM devices in domoticz.

Best regards
