Hi

For some test purposes I am looking for some cheap IP camera;s which will work als in Domoticz.
With cheap I mean .. max $20 :D

I now have a GUUDGO Y4A-ZA2 which works fine with an app on my smartphone but does not work in Domoticz.

I think any cam with the possibility to get a snapshot using HTTP(S) is supported. You could check online/read the manual of any cam you plan to buy if it supports this feature.
Domoticz beta, on Raspberry Pi 3B, Raspian Buster
Zwave, Zigate, RFlink etc.

I saw this in their FAQ:Have you tried that?
Yes, but I'm not sure how well/fully supported it is. I have video, but no audio, the main video profile is only 1280x720 not 1920x1080, and the normal snapshot URL that my ONVIF client tries doesn't appear to work (there may be another one, but the ONVIF capabilities are undocumented). That said, I haven't really tried to get everything working.

The default ONVIF username is "admin" and the password is empty/blank.

Hi jdvz,

I really tried everything and that's why I want to have some brands and types which you (forum members ) have running in Domoticz.
Than I am sure I will get this working too with the camera;s i will buy.

So which cheap IPCamera's do work smoothly in Domoticz ??

Thanks in advance

Don't have any example in the 20$ price range. Even buying from aliexpress, that's twice this figure to get something that is worth the try... and that's not 100% sure this' will be OK: Buy one, wait 2 weeks for the parcel, try... and make another order if this works & you need several ones.

Just one tip: Get away from cams that can only be configured from a smartphone app (i.e. not using http from a web browser thanks to an embedded configuraion web server hosted by the cam). You're almost sure to have issues if you don't stick to the manufacturer use-case (i.e. watching the cam from their smartphone app).

Checkout this site. It shows you a real lot of cams with their http snapshot links and which cam supports it (some cams have multiple entries, if jpeg is one of them, it should work).

I'm afraid it is not supported then. I googled the cam and tried to find other names/brands which use the same model. I cannot find it. It seems not to be very common.

Hi Geitje,

Yesterday i have searched the internet for some hours and I finally found its username and passwd.
I can now logon to the devie (which is a unix busybox device) . At this moment I now have to find the url (rtsp or http) but it really is hard to find .
I keep on trying .

I use the Foscam C1, it streams perfectly to my Synology NAS surveillance.
Ik makes a perfect snapshot when someone push the (KAKU) doorbell.
The camera cost about €50,-

You can also use Tasmota platform with ESP-32 Cam. Works over IP.

Settings in Domoticz Cam

IP your ip
Port 80
URL Snapshot.jpg

You can get a snapshot from Dzvents

domoticz.executeShellCommand('sudo wget -O ./webcam/foto.jpg "http://x.x.x.x.:80/snapshot.jpg" ')

the file is placed in domoticz/webcam/

What about an ESP32?
Buy it somewhere on AliExpress or better at your local or regional components dealer. At Okophone it's a bargain!
Install it using these instructions.
Bugs bug me.

I bought some of those ESP32 cams, I even upgraded the camera module on one. I found the picture quality to be unacceptably poor.
