Domoticz

Hi,

Ik have tried 2 days ago to upgrade my raspberry for upgrading also domoticz.
I run a wd pidrive with berryboot for years without problem.

Steps I did,
1 clone the installation with berryboot.
2 stop service domoticz
3 the upgrading steps 2 buster
When I did the apt get upgrade the system give a error and I tried it again nothing helped
So finally I reboot the pi, and it didn't boot.
The clone coping back for starting, but same errors
So I think let's make a new install with berryboot (afterwards also tried directly at a sd) install buster lite and install domoticz with the command as described.
It's starts so I wanted to restore my backup version 4.975 but the domoticz version is now 2020.1
A all my stuffs seems there but wait my hardware is not fine I cannot select the right usb ports.


(Also a problem with my lua script after upgrading it needs 5.3 and I used 5.2 at the old installation but first the other bigger problem)

It looks like the ub ports are off because the zwave aeotec led rings are not blinking.
But my pi-drive works fine also tried the drive at a other usb port.

I suppose you had made a good backup ?
If not, please backup the complete domoticz folder
Next download the latest raspbian (from the raspbery pi website)
Install this, install domoticz via the sudo command, you should have a working clean domoticz now

issue the following commands in SSH:

sudo service domoticz stop
cd domoticz
./updatebeta

Now you should be on the latest beta version, still clean

sudo service stop domoticz

Place the backup back, do not run it, when you placed this back, issue again
./updatebeta

Now you should have a working domoticz, running the latest backup

finaly solved after 5 days.

What was the problem.
Berryboot with the pi-drive
with lsusb all the usb ports seems there but not working.
so i was thinking it was a problem of domoticz

Running now from sd (i hope the card lives a few days because i bought an other system

i will test my pi-drive to test with berryboot and ask there for a new kernel (there is the problem i think).
