Evohome USB HGI/S80 working but not picking up actuators

Post by mflammia »

Hi,

Recently installed Domoticz as my choice to use with my Evohome system.

Have additionally purchased the HGI80 USB so that I could get readings from all the devices.

Have the WiFi control panel, various HR92's, T87 Zone Thermostats, 6 zone underfloor heating and hot water senors.

The HGI80 has been connected for over 24 hours, so far its only detected the following:
  • EvoHome USB 00000DA 1 Boiler Control (34d7da)
  • EvoHome USB 162 1 Fault Logbook General Alert
  • EvoHome USB 0000095 1 Stored Hot Water (350c95)
  • EvoHome USB 25 1 Hot Water Heating Hot Water 0.0 C, 0.0, Auto
I'm not sure what the last item is 'Hot Water Heating' is as the figures never changed?

The Fault LogBook entry interestingly come from an actuator which battery went flat. So it is oddly able to record those messages but will not pick up anything else about it. Just conectrating on that one actuator, I've
  • Changed the batteries and re-bound to WiFi Controller
  • Set tempreture high on controller to get acutator to supply heat to rad
  • Did a RF Check, all good
So none of these things show up in the log or the actuator shows up as a device?

The other items like the Boiler and the Stored Hot Water seem to work fine, but all the numerous other Evohome devices don't, in part i.e the fault log showed for the actuator.

See example of the log messages below:

Hopefully someone can help.

Many thanks in advance.

Update: Have selected the 'All Sensors' button in the hardware section of the HGI80 hardware, this made no difference. In addition, the devices already discovered where discovered without using this feature. All other devices still not detecting or showing up in the log?

I've currently disabled the Web API just in case it was effecting the results, but made no difference. Also given the Pi a fresh reboot.

Managed to get this working.

From what I read the section in the HSI80 configuration "Controller ID" was optional.

Decided to add it in anyway by following these instructions:

You should be able to check the firmware version by doing a quick tap on 'settings' on the evohome main screen followed by a long tap (around 15s) on 'device settings'

Soon as I did that the devices popped in!

Glad its all working now.
