Domoticz

I have been running domoticz for a couple of years, and until a couple month's ago, it was all good 'n dandy. But when upgrading to OpenZwave 1.6 a lot of problems started. I have been really busy with real life / work etc, so never got around to it to fix it, but it annoyed me terribly. So i tried to fix it today .. by reinstalling domoticz from scratch using the wiki install guide. Restored my backup, and was hoping for the best. Sadly, the motion sensor of the Aeon Tech MS6 is just not working. When movement is detected, in the domoticz log i only see: Nothing about the motion sensor. I removed the MS from the controller, re-added it. It does detect everything: I have this issue with multiple motion sensors, and i kind of ran out of ideas. Any help would be welcome.

I have the same problem. I do it a factory reset of the sensor, exclude... but nothing works. The motion sensor doesn't work anymore. Don't appear in the devices.

Since i was also messing with the zwave.me stick (firmware / bootloader) ever since the problems started, i started to think that maybe a fresh install of domoticz with openzwave 1.6 compiled would have been a better solution, since upgrading the zwave.me stick did not go really smooth, however it did work .. sort of.

So what i did last week was, order a new zwave.me stick, and did a clean install of everything, which means going by every zwave device in the house.. So with good hopes i started factory defaulting devices and readding them. Sadly .. the results are sort of the same. However the Aeontec Multisensor does trigger on "house alarm" which is a on/off device, which i can use, however the normal motion sensor does not trigger. I also have a few Neocam PIR's in the house, they seem to work a bit better, but not fluent.

In other words, i still don't know what the problem is

Try to change Command Options to "Binary Sensor Report" and reboot. that did the trick for me.

@alveman Please explain a little bit more. I have no clue where to change that, and what the impact is.

That was the. Trick in my case also!

Go to hardware->zwave->multisensor. Then change option five from basic to binary.

Nothing about the motion sensor. I removed the MS from the controller, re-added it. It does detect everything:

In my installation the motion sensor also does nit get updated any more.

But I noticed in my installation that another device of the sensor which I had not tracked in my scripts gets updated:
This device had the ID 00000535 Unit 1 Type Light/Switch which I had named "Manipulation" after the suggested type when the device was created.

In your case this could be the "00011D35 Bijkeuken home security Light/Switch". In my case it is turned off after 5 seconds, but that is enough to catch it in a device script.

But I am not sure if this is working as designed. I have already made a post in this topic.

edit: And, as I now noticed, changing the Command Options to "Binary Sensor Report" gets me the old behaviour ( thanks @alveman)

I'm having the same problem with my Multisensors. The problem started after upgrade to Domoticz 2002.1 and fits with the included upgrade of OZW to 1.6. I've got 3 sensors, bought and installed a couple of years ago. No, they have not been firmware flashed as I haven't seen that Domoticz are able to do that. I've tried to remove the cache file, wake-up the sensors again and for a short while it looks ok but then 2 of the sensors seems to show no relevant info. One sensor (not neccesarily the same one) seems to be ok. I've also upgraded to 2002.2 but with same results.

I'm running Raspbian Buster on a RPI with Z-Wave.me Controller.
