We designed it to be the most accessible option for wired home automation with our decentralized architecture (requires only one additional wire across a traditional electrical infrastructure) easy-to-configure software (https://github.com/feanor-anglin/GetWired-Project) and clear instructions. GetWired is also plug&play compatible with most open source home automation controllers, including Domoticz.
Why wired? The answer is simple. Wireless devices are easier to install and accessible for almost everyone, but wired communication is more stable, more immune, faster and safer. Therefore it is more adequate to use in new and renovated buildings.
