Hi,

If I want to use Domoticz to control several google home mini's, which speech and voice plugin is best to use?
I already have Controlicz, but this is only one way working (as far as I know?): Google Home --> Domoticz.

I want to control 3 Google Home Mini's (1 x 1st generation and 2 x second generation) from Domoticz...some examples given:
  • When doorbell is pushed, domoticz sends a voice message/audio clip to one specific or all Google Home mini's
  • Media alarm clock scheme playing a selected spotify song to one of the Google Home mini devices**
**Since I am running only dutch language on my google assistant/home it limits the possibilities for scripts and media alarm clocks with a workdays scheme. Therefor I am searching for a domoticz solution to create scripts with voice notifications

Can anyone advise me in this because i see several google home integrations here, but i don't now which one forfills my needs the best?

Hi,

I use Node Red with the nora node to control my lights with Google Home.
It is possible to send/receive commands to/from Domoticz. So this works both directions.

As I have a Google Nest Hub, since about a week, I have not been able to run many tests, but I succeeded to send some text from Node Red to the Google Nest Hub. It is relatively easy to send the command from your doorbell with MQTT to Node Red and then send a text/clip to Google.

For nora see: https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... ra#p226178

Regards
