Hello

I use a Raspi 3 with Domotizs and the current final version.
Use simple sockets with 433 Mhz and Z Wave Popp thermostats.
So I have a 433 Mhz and a Z Wave USB dongle on the Raspi.

Now I would like to exchange the 433 Mhz sockets for Wifi adapters.
Z Wave are too expensive for me with the number of sockets.

I already tried to read a lot in the forum, there is on Amazon for 40 Euro with 4 Wifi sockets and very good rating.
There are also the TP 110 sockets.
But I don't find any info if the whole thing works with Domoticz.
At Domoticz under Hardware I don't find any Wifi devices.

Can I simply integrate them incl. power measurement or do I have to use scripts and do the whole programming ?

It would be good if it is as easy as 433 Mhz sockets.

Did I ask the question in the wrong category, or does nobody use Wifi sockets ?

I use the cheap Wifi sockets that you can get on Amazon, making sure they can be flashed with Tasmota

Then flash a Domoticz compatible version of Tasmota, setup a dummy device on Domoticz and add the device ID to the Tasmota flashed Wifi socket, controllable from Domoticz, with power monitoring and don't need to use a Chinese server

The hardest part is to find a suitable socket that supports Tasmota

How satisfied are you with the energy meter ?

I control Yeelight lights via the internal Wifi and it works very stable.
Do wifi sockets also work reliably against 433 or Zwave ?

I also can recommend Tasmota WiFi plugs. Finding Tasmota suitable devices is not hard

I use the Blitzwolf and Gosund Plugs. Soldering was not so hard.it was harder to remove the screws

I use NON-tasmota Plugs too, the TP Link HS-110. You'll need some additional scripts.

Personally I found the Tasmota more reliable, as the TP Link didn't connect properly after a short outage. I had to unplug and replug them to get them working again. No probs with Tasmota

I'm using some Sonoff S20 sockets. They are flashed with Tasmota and work reliably so far, several suppliers on AliExpress or Banggood.

I have not tried them but Shelly make some wifi sockets. Their Shelly 1 switches that I do have work with the manufacturer firmware MQTT support for Domoticz use with the Shelly MQTT Python plugin. If you want sockets that don't need flashing with Tasmota and they fit your wiring it might be worth checking if their sockets also support MQTT with factory firmware. They will cost more than the Sonoff products.
