Post by cos4x4 »

Hi all,

i want to use 1 impulse switch to connect 2x Fibaro dimmer-2 to turn them on and of manually.

is it possible connect the s1 and sx from both dimmers together with the impulse switch parallel ?

or can i use the black wire (lampdraad) to turn the dimmer on ?

i want to do this by course i can not place 2x dimmer-2 behind the switch.

You can also put a 230v on the switch input directly.
I use this to build my dimmer in the light enclosure and use the wall switch f to control it 'black wire'

Thai might work too, I did mean connecting the right one to the light output of the left one.

Hi!
I realize this thread is quite old, but i want to do the same thing.
I like home automation, but it has not yet proven to be functioning always without flaws.
For that reason i want to have two fibaro dimmer 2’s on one impulse switch, so it is hardware connected and the one switch will always turn on both lights. The second button of the switch should run a routine.

Both fibaro parts are a bit away from the switch, but next to each other. So my initial try was to connect the first fibaro switch via standard fibaro 3 wire manual. With the Sx going to both buttons input, one button to S1 and the other button to S2. This is a working situation allowing me to turn on one lightset and run routines.

The second dimmer was connected in the same way to L, N and lamp. I thought to split the cable going into S1 of the first unit to also go in S1 of the second unit.
(So Sx of the first unit is connected via switch 1 to S1 of both units and via switch 2 to S2 of the first unit only. Sx and S2 of the second unit is not used.

However, this did not work, but i don’t know why.
Any ideas?

Or does someone have the diagram of how it does work?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

i don't think it will work, maybe better connect them together (associate)
swicth nr 005 will turn on/off S1 of 005 and Group 2 007,011 end 012
Group 4 turns S2 on/off and 009

Hello, sorry for the late reply, but i missed the notification.
I controll the dimmers with Hubitat, not sure I con group via Hubitat, need to look into that. But thanks for the tip!

But I’d prefer hardware connection if possible…

Any hardwire connection tips that are proven to work?
