smokedetectors: battery status

Hey guys,

I have been using my Domoticz raspberry 2B with RFXCOM transceiver for a couple of years now. I mostly use it with COCO solutions.

But now I like to extend with other solutions: smoke dectectors. I have/had a couple offline cheap detectors hanging around the house, most have broken down. So I am looking into 433 Mhz capable detectors (but if other protocols are better I am also interested).

But I don't seem to find the answer to a simple question: What kind of data do the dectectors send to domoticz?
1. Alarms => the minimum minimorum, seems logical
2. Battery-level? => this is key: The main reason offline detectors don't get replaced is because batteries run down at the most inconvenient times. I would like to receive warnings or monitor their battery levels from domoticz in order to replace the batteries in time.

Does anybody know such detectors? (I can't find anything on google if for instance zwave solutions have that functionality either)

thx,

Theo

i bought that one (the post from gerwin) some time ago on aliexpress just to try. I turned out it does not just look like the Heiman smoke detector, but i really is the heiman smoke detector :-)

On my system indeed it reports the alarm and the battery status, but i do not trust the battery status. I already have this device for about 9 months now and the battery status is still 100%, which cannot be true

Don't get me wrong, i am very happy with the device, so i would definitely recommend it. I just don't think the battery status is a very reliable report.

again, thx for the additional info

on the battery issue: it should have a CR123A battery which should last 10 years. So 100% after 9 months should not be so strange...no?
